In my 9th month on the World Race God started to tug at my heart a little bit and it felt very strange. He was placing new desires in my heart and reigniting some old ones again and I was so uncertain. When CGA came into my heart I knew that it was from God. I knew this because before that moment I had little to no interest in being part of a community in Georgia or to learn more new things, I really just wanted to go home.
There I was sitting on a cold tile floor in Thailand and God started to transform my heart towards things like discipleship, learning, worship, community, and leadership. All of the things that CGA is. Before this moment I was just planning on going home and asking God for the next move, little did I know that he already had the next move and he needed to plant it in my heart a little sooner than I was expecting so that I could soak it in for a few months.
I can now fully say that CGA is the right step for me! There is more that God wants to do in me. There is more knowledge that he wants me to gain and more confidence that he wants to deposit in me. He asks me where I wanted to do that and all I saw was the AIM office. I heard the laughter of community and I felt like I was home. Well, this will be home for the next season of my life anyway.
The passion that I have for seeing people worship God without restraint is undeniable! I love worship. To see others worshipping with truth and passion is what I live for. So to be able to participate in the Worship track is a dream come true. I will have an opportunity to cultivate my worship leading and connect with the Father in a much deeper way in order to share my giftings in worship with everyone I meet.
After wrapping up my season with the worship track I will be entering into a season of learning in the leadership track. One of the most significant things God did in my life this year was teach me about leadership. What it looks like, how it should look in community, and what it meant for my life. CGA will take over where the World Race left off in teaching me more about leadership and what it looks like to be a Christ like follower and a leader.
I will be headed to Gainesville, GA mid-January to start CGA and will return to California in August. I will need to raise $8,000 total and my first financial deadline is January 29th, I will need to have $1975.00 raised and in my CGA account.
